Welcome in, friend!

Let me tell you a little bit about who we are here at Bon Haven Interiors, and even more importantly where it is we came from.

The most tender part of Bon Haven Interiors to me, is the name itself. I'm honored to mark this endeavor with the graceful name of a very big piece of my history. Bon Haven is a home in South Carolina that my paternal great great grandfather built for his family in 1884. It is a lavish, turn of the century home, harkening to the grandiose and lush style of the South. It is the very root of my family; it is where I am from.

I remember seeing the house first as a little girl and being awestruck by the large windows, light filtering through into the rooms dusted in pastel drapes and upholstery. Each room overflowing with oversized antique furniture all so sturdy and suredly grounded, as if they had been there for a hundred years and had no intention of moving anytime soon.

That house is a tender and vulnerable place for me, where I got to commune with relations that I never had the gift of meeting. I am a sappy, sentimental person in nature, so I am sincerely thrilled to weave this house of a by-gone era in to my thoroughly modern future.

Bon Haven Interiors as an enterprise stemmed from my passions for home decorating. For years I have indulged in styling homes, truly indulged, and for a long time simply viewed it as a guilty pleasure. It was only recently, in the light a fresh year, when I was called out by close friends who stoked the fire and spurred me on to make my hobby into a pursuit. And y'all, my mind has been going a million miles a minute since. Wheels have been turning, vibes have been flowing, electricity is running. I take joy in making my home a haven and would love to share with you to help you do the same.

In style I am heavy handed with neutrals, gold spray paint, and fluffy faux-fur throws. I love as much light and as many fresh flowers as I can cram into a room while still being able to excuse it as modern and clean. I'm not a minimalist by any means, but I adore clean lines and everything fresh (both the word itself and its connotation.)

I hope that gives you a peek into what Bon Haven Interiors is here for, and what's more I hope you'll stick around. I am incomparibly energized about what this endeavor might lead to and I sincerely hope you'll come along for the ride.

If I've pulled you in (and I hope I have) then meet me here tomorrow morning to get acquainted with my personal style - I'll also be dishing out some pretty sweet sneak peeks and a little known fact behind BHI!

(And I give you major props if you read all the way to the end. Gold star for you, friend!)
