First, click here and listen to this song while you read! I have been playing it on repeat lately (my roommate can attest) and I'd love for you to listen along as you read this post. Ok, now back to the real material...

If you've been following me on Instagram you know I was lucky enough to take a ten day trip to Italy and France with my sister this summer. It had been four years since I'd been in Europe - longer than I would have wished! The last time I was there was my semester abroad where I lived in Rome and spent my weekends touring everything from the UK and Ireland to France and Switzerland all the way down to the tropical Italian coast.

I could regale you with a long and glorious post about all the fun details of our trips, the shopping finds, and the heavenly meals. But I'm sure you've got a lot on your plate today so I'll boil it down to what we all enjoy most: pictures. Enjoy my visual tour of my time in Europe and for more details, go check out my Instagram.

...

Check back in soon for my next post when I'll show you more of the design side from my time in Europe + the lessons I learned from European style that I hope to translate back into my design elements stateside!

quick fixes

#1

Move things around! Sometimes your space is just stale and needs variation. Figure out another way for the puzzle pieces to fit together.

#2

Bring in some greenery or fresh flowers. Guaranteed to bring a little more life to any space.

#3

Open up your blinds! Natural light restores a space like none other. Short supply of windows? Increase your own lighting with bright and effective lamps.
