Um, can you say "glass house?"

I know so many people don't like the idea of having so much of their home exposed through big windows. And what's more I regretfully agree that those glass beauties will eventually get draped with some form of window treatments. But for now, can we just bask in that all consuming natural light?

The minimalist yard, the large and lovely pavers, and that texture accent surrounding the entryway are the 8th, 9th, and 10th reasons this house is such a bombshell. Of course, 1st through 7th are occupied by those seven, count 'em, seven wide paneled windows, just begging for you to bask in the openness they offer.

Just look at how the panels reflect back the trees and the sky, simply blending in with the surrounding and bringing the outside in.

I get it why people install shutters and curtains, I promise I do. But like a kid looking at the wrapped presents under a Christmas tree, there is nothing quite so magical for me as looking at a new house before a family moves in, it's windows wide open, full of promise and possibility.

quick fixes

#1

Move things around! Sometimes your space is just stale and needs variation. Figure out another way for the puzzle pieces to fit together.

#2

Bring in some greenery or fresh flowers. Guaranteed to bring a little more life to any space.

#3

Open up your blinds! Natural light restores a space like none other. Short supply of windows? Increase your own lighting with bright and effective lamps.
