You might have remembered from this post, the simple grey bookshelf I've had posted up under the TV for about a year now. Modest and painfully underwhelming, it was just a filler until I found something better. A bookshelf that had been passed down in college and re-painted, it had pretty much served its purpose.

Thankfully, I found its upgraded replacement - and from none other than yet another online garage sale! It's right up there with some of my best finds like the blue chair and my mirrored nightstand.

TA-DA! Isn't she a beaut? Same understated grey tone, with those wonderful mirrored accents to bounce all of our natural light around the living room. I really got lucky, and I'll be the first to admit it. Mirrored chests and cabinets run anywhere from $250 for the most plain of the plain up to $800+ for the really high end quality.

So I know you're all sitting there thinking - surely you wouldn't pay that much, Bonnie. Have some reason. Be sensible. Remember that we're styling on a budget here!

And you're right. I am not at a point in my life right now where I can nor do I want to pay that for a singular, small piece of of furniture. The truth is I only had to cough up $100 for this gem - which is well worth the money in my opinion! If you disagree, that's fine, just don't tell me, because I am over here relishing the value of this piece that I love so much!

I am over the moon with my luck on this piece, the only area of uncertainty I have with it is the styling of the tabletop. I've shuffled through several different arrangements and combinations of accessories. Of course all of them include that undeniably stylish DVR. (*sarcasm*) In fact, this isn't even how the chest is currently styled. I don't think I've quite found the magic moment of balance, but I'm definitely getting closer!

Whenever I am lucky enough to finally strike that balance, I'll loop back around and share with you for sure!

What is a piece you've added to your space as of late that still makes you smile?
